We came here a couple of weeks ago for dinner. Food is amazing, the service was great and this place has loads of ambiance. Top notch food we will be back again soon – especially for that garlic bread NOM!

Went there with the missus for dinner. The lighting was dim and made it a bit hard to read the menus but once we had ordered it made a nice cozy atmosphere. We went for the mixed tapas platter to share and a couple of glasses of wine, we were pretty pleased overall. The high points were that the food was delicious and the portions definitely enough to fill us up, they had the best aioli I’ve ever tasted. The only thing I could complain about was the polenta chips were a bit lukewarm. But they were still pretty tasty and nobody’s perfect aye?
The wine selection is huge, a bit pricey for a glass but worth it, there’s a lot of stuff here that you won’t see in other places.
We didn’t try dessert because we were too full from dinner. But we might have to come back and have another go!

Great restaurant, good for a quiet dinner for two but also great atmosphere to visit with friends. Food is consistently of very high quality. Good selection of wines to go with the food. One of our favorite restaurants in Wellington.

Went here for a quiet dinner for two on a Thursday night. The service was amazing from all staff, the food as equally amazing.
We started with an antipasti platter and a bottle of wine, followed by two small meat dishes and one small vege dish to share. Prices were very reasonable for quality of dishes. Very impressed, will return again.

Now I have been here before for a sit down meal with a large group of friends.
We all had a few drinks alongside our 3 course meal and although very very costly at for two of us $400.+. Definitely worth every cent.
Food was devine! Service was impeccable. The complete ambiance that I think is key, Vivo hosts without fail.

One negative? I went to go back there in November for my monthly catch up with friends and it was closed with scaffolds around the building. Please tell me it was a temporary reno?

Ive been here a couple of times before for wine but never enjoyed a meal. I love the ambiance, the location, and the service of Vivo.

I had the The Enoteca Burger
Wairarapa beef patty with peppers, mushrooms and gorgonzola dolce on Pandoro ciabatta with crispy polenta chips
$18 for Monday lunch and it was one of the best beef patties I’ve ever eaten! the peppers were a little bland but otherwise it was an excellent and well priced meal!

The nibbles /tapas are also excellent

Went back to Vivo again recently and still loved it. This time was for wine and snacks rather than a sit down meal. The wine list is extensive and whilst not cheap it is worth it, 60 to choose from by the glass. The food is fantastic, the semolina chips are so yummy.

Its not to loud so you can talk, which is lovely.
