Ate there last night. Food was tremendous and waitresses pleasant and pretty. I could even watch the rugby. Big improvement on the past.

I ordered bread and dips to start. Thankfully my daughter hadn’t ordered a starter so could help me. Way too much for one person but well presented and delicious. We both had the lamb. Cooked to perfection. Delicious. My daughter had a lamb and feta pizza. Wow, what a great pizza. Literally one of the best I have ever tasted.

All the wait staff were just the right level of attentive and interactive. Neither cold and impersonal nor over the top. Little touches like putting the Pinot Gris in an ice bucket without being asked were appreciated.

Well worst experience ever. Took my mum for lunch. Ordered fish of the day. It was so old and was off. It stunk to high heaven and every fly in Tauranga was visiting it. It was pan fried god knows what on a heap of tired salad. $27.95 you were going to charge my elderly mum for that!! Had no real apology and still had to pay for the stale lemonade. On top of that my pasta penne was something out of a jar… pasta was still too firm and I’m sure it had dolmio poured onto it. another top dollar dish! I’m not on hear to be nasty but this deserves coverage!!! Never ever again!

Very nice pub, tidy and well looked after. Service was good. Waitress made us feel comfortable and was friendly. Food was great. My friend ordered a pasta dish for lunch, my other mate ordered a burger, fries and salad(which she didn’t finish because was so big) and I ordered a steak meal. Steak was cooked to my liking (MR) arrived hot, with good covering of bearnaise sauce and was absolutely juicy and tender. My other friends also enjoyed their meal and drinks and had a good time. I did feel that our lunch was a little pricey ( $115 for 2 x appetisers, 1 meal each, 1 drink each ) so probably do this again on a special occasion only rather than a regular thing. Other than that, was a good experience and I suppose, you get what you pay for:)

I bought a voucher for Cornerstone Pub which was for my sister and brother in law. They were very impressed with the service and the food was excellent. They highly recommend this establishment to all. The waitress was so obliging

Sometimes staff just try too hard. We tried to have a quiet drink and light meal but were constantly interrupted by the waitress, wiping, offering more drinks, asking about the food… I mean, it’s ok to leave folk to enjoy their own company.

Ate there recently and although had my heart set on the pork belly to be told they had run out?!?!??!
Ordered the lamb shanks and my friend the fish and chips, HUGE meals that were defiantly tasteful and we were so full when we left. Perfect pub style food that left us very satisfied. Service was great with the girls being very attentive and there when we needed them, would highly recommend!

Pleasant but unremarkable pub food. Everything tastes as it should and is a good size, but for the price, you could spend just a little more and visit a nearby restaurant.

Such a busy and friendly place. The service was very professional and helpful with explanation of menu queries by the 13 year olds at our table. The meals were served in good time, well presented and the 5 different selections from the menu were all thoroughly enjoyed by our large group. Our friends each raved on about the generous servings and everything was so delicious right down to the chips and delightful salads. We’ll be back!

Wow! What an experience or non-experience of the food offered. The staff were very apologetic, there would be a 20min wait. Fine bring us our coffee first. Whoops we have run out of sausages would you like advocado on toast instead. No thanks just bring our coffee. Half an hour later bacon & scrambled egg arrived…stone cold. Do you keep your plates in the fridge? Our coffee finally turned up after the food was served so we explained that we would not be eating our cold food. The waitress felt the plates and agreed and said she would go and heat it up. No thanks we didn’t go out for breakfast on our wedding anniversary for microwaved food. The staff were very embarrased and apologetic but we will not be returning or recommending Cornerstone to our friends. One bad experience is enough when there is so many choices in Tauranga of good restaurants.
